Reservations and Cancellations

How can I book Angelfish Studio?

You can book the Angelfish Studio directly on this website via page Booking. Alternatively, you can book the studio via Airbnb. Please, note that the rates, payment methods, discounts and cancellation policy are different for direct bookings through this website and for bookings made via Airbnb.

We require a minimum stay of five nights. Enjoy a 20% discount on the nightly rate automatically for stays of 28 nights or longer.

Yes, you can extend your stay if the studio is available. Please check the calendar on this website or Airbnb for availability and get in touch with our property manager to arrange the extension of your stay.

You can get a discount on booking and on diving.

Booking discounts:

  • For stays longer than 28 nights, we offer a 20% discount on the nightly rate for direct bookings as well as for the bookings via Airbnb.

  • For a booking via Airbnb, you can get a 10% discount on non-refundable booking for stays up to 28 nights.

  • For direct bookings, occasional discounts are available for stays shorter than 28 nights. Have a look at the page Rates & Discounts for the latest offers.

Diving discount:

As a guest of the Angelfish Studio, you can get a special rate for diving with Dive Friends Shop. For this discount you can apply after the booking has been made. The instruction how to apply you will get in the instant conformation of your booking.

Please, check our cancellation policy for direct bookings in the latest version of our Terms and Conditions or cancellation policy on Airbnb website for the bookings made through Airbnb website.

Unlike some destinations, Bonaire does not levy tourist tax via the lodging. Instead, foreign visitors to Bonaire are required to pay an entry tax, preferably online through https://tourismtax.bonairegov.com/ or at the airport.

Also, all visitors entering the sea in Bonaire need to purchase a Nature Fee (valid for a calendar year) via https://stinapa.bonairenaturefee.org/.

Check-in/Check-out

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is after 3:00 PM, and check-out time is until 10:00 AM, unless otherwise agreed with the property manager.

In the booking confirmation of your stay, you’ll receive our property manager’s contact information. Please inform him of your estimated arrival time at Angelfish Studio for a smooth check-in. He’s also available throughout your stay for any questions.

You can take a taxi at the airport (it is only 10-15 min drive) or rent a car online prior to your arrival. There are several rent-a-car agencies at the airport or close to the airport. Renting a car give you a wonderful opportunity to explore the whole island. 

Angelfish Studio is situated in Hamlet Oasis Resort. The gated Hamlet Oasis Resort has two entrances. Angelfish Studio is accessible at all times through the south entrance of the resort, whereas the north entrance (closer to the studio) is usually open between about 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Yes, a key box facilitates easy self-check-in, whereas our property manager will usually be on hand to greet you personally upon arrival and at depar­ture. Prior to your arrival the check-in instructions will be provided to you.

Like most Airbnb properties, we kindly ask you to wash and put away dishes, take out the trash, and return the keys to the key box before you leave. This helps us ensure a smooth transition for the next guests.

A late check-out may be possible only with prior coordination with our property manager in case that new guests do not arrive on the day that you are leaving. A late check-out is free of charge.

Unfortunately, we do not have an additional space available to store your luggage before you check-in of after you check-out.

Property amenities

Is there a parking spot on the premisses?

Our guests can park for free on the premises, next to the studio or in the parking area inside the resort, right next to the north entrance (about 50 m from the studio, close to the main road).

Yes, free WiFi is available inside the studio, on the terrace and in the garden. The internet speed inside is 20-35 Mbps download and 7-8 Mbps upload. On the patio, it is 30-45 Mbps download and 8-10 Mbps upload.

Angelfish Studio is located next to the Dive Friends Shop. The Dive Shop offers special rates for our guests to make dive trips, take diving lessons, and rent diving equipment. Just 50 m from the apartment there is a direct access to the water for swimming or snorkelling and the entrance to the famous reef ‘The Cliff’. You can let your wetsuit dry on the patio on special hangers.

Yes, our guests have access to a community magnesium pool at Hamlet Oasis Resort, as well as their sunbeds. The pool is situated in the heart of the resort, about 50 m from the Angelfish Studio.

The apartment’s terrace with a gentle breeze is overlooking a spacious tropical garden and offers a partial ocean view.

Yes, the entire building housing Angelfish Studio is surrounded by the resort’s tropical garden. A single step down from the terrace leads to the spacious garden, where you’ll find tropical trees, cacti and the delightful presence of local fauna (iguanas, lizards, birds).

Angelfish Studio is nestled within a resort known for its generous spacing between accommodations. The greenery in the ample tropical garden and a natural rattan curtain on the terrace provide some privacy, while still being connected.

Situated away from the main road and without on-site dining or bars, the studio provides a quiet setting. The nearby Dive Shop and ‘The Cliff’ reef attract divers who contribute to the resort’s lively yet relaxed daytime ambiance.

Yes, there is an air conditioning in the studio as well as a ceiling fan above the bed.

Yes, there are insect nets in a sliding door and in front of the windows.

Yes, a safety deposit box is provided within the studio for secure storage of your valuables.

Yes, a fire extinguisher, a fire blanket and a smoke detector are available and clearly visible in the studio. Also, a small first aid kit is placed in the kitchen.

There is a small, but fully equipped kitchen, where you can prepare simple meals. The kitchen has an electrical stove (4 hot plates), a small fridge with a small freeze compartment, a toaster oven, and a filter coffee machine. The local supermarket, only 4-minute walk away, provides fresh ingredients.

There is a king-size bed with a new, comfortable mattress, and extra pillows are available from the property manager if needed.

Yes, linens, bathroom towels as well as beach towels are provided.

To ensure a comfortable stay of up to a week, we’ve prepared a fresh set of bed linens and towels for each guest.

We provide two sets of bed linens and towels per person upon arrival for stays of more than one week. During your stay, you may either utilize a nearby laundry facility for washing these items, or our property manager can handle this service for an extra fee.

In order to offer competitive pricing, and in line with standard Airbnb practices, we perform a complete cleaning of the studio upon your departure to prepare it for incoming guests. We have provided common cleaning products for your use throughout your stay. Should you require additional cleaning services during your stay, our property manager can arrange this for an additional fee.

Rules and Suitability

How many people can the Angelfish Studio accommodate?

The property can accommodate a maximum of two people.

To ensure a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all residents of Hamlet Oasis Resort, the following house rules apply: quite hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, no smoking inside and outside of the studio, no extra guests, no parties, no illegal substances, no pets, no open fire.

For the comfort and safety of young children our studio, with one king-size bed, may not be the most appropriate choice. We don’t have a sleeping sofa or crib available.

Unfortunately, our property is not equipped to provide full accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

Although we love pets, the studio as well as the resort have a no-pet policy in order to keep the place peaceful and allergy-free.

To ensure a comfortable stay for our guests, this is a pet-free and smoke-free property.  We do not use any air fresheners. Bed linens and towels are washed with a fragrance-free industrial detergent. While we prioritize cleanliness, we cannot guarantee that our standard cleaning supplies, hand soaps, and shower gels are free of allergens. If you have significant sensitivities, we advise bringing your own products.

Surroundings

What kind of atmosphere can I expect at the resort?

The resort offers a tranquil atmosphere, free from the noise of bars and restaurants. You can connect with other guests or divers on shared picnic benches while enjoying the great view of the sunset.

Within walking distance, there are several good restaurants, a cocktail bar, a supermarket, a drugstore etc.

Water access and Bonaire’s famous reef ‘The Cliff’ are just 50 meters from the studio. This access point is also conveniently located next to a dive shop, making it ideal for diving and snorkelling.

The supermarket across the street offers fresh pastries and breakfast ingredients, perfect for a peaceful morning on the Angelfish Studio’s terrace with a glimpse of an ocean view. Or enjoy your breakfast right on the oceanfront at the Rum Runners restaurant, just a short walk away.

A laundry service is a short drive away. The exact address can be found in the apartment’s guest book, online, or by contacting our property manager.

Environmental sustainability

What sustainable practices do you have in place at the property?

We believe in responsible tourism and are actively taking steps to minimise our environmental impact on Bonaire. Our current sustainability initiatives include:

  • Water conservation: Our garden features native, drought-tolerant plants and a targeted drip irrigation system, minimising water use.
  • Energy efficiency: We mainly utilise energy-efficient lighting and appliances.
  • Reduced packaging waste: We opt for bulk cleaning products and hand soap, whenever possible, as well as a refillable dispensers for and shower gel, reducing single-use packaging.
  • Sustainable choices: We prioritize sustainable and repurposed materials for items like luggage racks and decor.
  • Reduced single-use plastics: You’ll find a reusable water container for enjoying Bonaire’s fresh tap water and a complimentary reusable Angelfish shopping bag for your use during your stay and beyond.
